Confidence Through Doing

I once saw a question online: “What is one thing you wish art school had taught you, but didn’t?”

My answer came immediately: CONFIDENCE.

I studied art for ten years: technique, colour, composition, all the academic basics, even got the degree. But no one taught me what to do with the voice that says:
you’re not there yet, you’re not talanted/good enough, fix or improve a few more things before you step forward.

Waiting for some social permission or recognition as proof or for the moment when you will finally be “ready”.

Later I realised, this voice doesn’t belong only to artists. It shows up in decisions, in relationships, in choices we avoid, in lives we postpone. That voice telling you you’re NOT ready yet - it’s not really yours nor TRUTH.

This course is the result of my own journey into understanding confidence: through experience, doing, failing, research, reflection, and honest questioning.

A practical course in building self-trust through embodied creative practice. Creative practice brings these voices to the surface faster and more honestly than thinking ever does. Learning to notice the voices that interrupt you, and practising how to move through them.

Confidence is not a trait. It’s a skill. And it’s buildable.
It doesn’t come from thinking more, preparing longer, or waiting to feel ready. It grows after action, not before it. Here we work with the quiet sabotager behind procrastination: hesitation, bussiness, self-judgment, control, fear.

Instead of silencing your inner critic or master techniques first, you’ll practise observing and staying with action: meeting doubt with awareness and steadiness. Becoming less interrupted while you create.

This course is for anyone drawn to creativity as a way to express, regulate, ground, and feel more like themselves, artists and non-artists alike.

Retake
  • This course is for people who create, or want to begin something, but feel interrupted by doubt, overthinking, or delay disguised as being too busy or not ready yet.

You do not need to identify as an artist. You do need a willingness to stay with simple action and learn to rely on your own perception rather than constant feedback, tips, or reassurance.

This course supports becoming self-reliant in your process, able to guide yourself, notice what’s happening, and keep going without waiting for permission.

It is for those willing to build SELF trust through experience.

  • What This Course Is (and Is Not).

This IS a self-paced course with 10 sessions / creative prompts, reflection questions, and two live check-in sessions with me to support integration and presence.

This is NOT an art technique course, though techniques may emerge naturally through doing.

It is NOT therapy or coaching, yet it works through direct experience and awareness, rather than explanation or advice.

This IS a confidence practice, using simple creative action as the method.

You are not here to make good work, though it may happen. Often, the most alive pieces appear when effort and control loosen.

You are here to notice what happens when you keep going.

  • PACE.

This course is self-paced online course designed to be taken slowly or on your own terms.

There are 10 sessions. Ideally, complete one per week. Confidence builds through repetition, not intensity.

Repeat each session at least twice. First time: novelty. Second: familiarity. Third: patterns.

Rushing keeps attention in the head. Staying allows habits to surface.

Daily practice is not required. Space supports integration.

Move forward when the exercise feels familiar, not finished.

  • Each session includes short reflection and journaling prompts. These are not tests. Answer honestly, briefly, and without analysis.

The course also offers optional (seperate payment) two live online check-ins with me (1 hour each): one midway through the course and one at the end.

Change deepens when experience is witnessed. These sessions offer a quiet space to pause, integrate what is emerging, and recognise what is already forming in you, as your process unfolds.

  • Here is a short guide to the materials you’ll need for this practice.
